Job summary

Tees Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Registered Mental Health Clinician for a 9‑month secondment to join the Scarborough Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team. The post focuses on intensive home treatment as an alternative to admission, delivering timely assessments and support in the community.

You will work with service users, carers and a multi-disciplinary team to provide triage, outreach and crisis intervention services within Trust guidelines.

Qualifications

• Relevant professional qualification and current professional registration.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
• MIP, FLIP, ENB 998 Teaching & Assessing in Clinical Practice or City & Guilds 730 Teaching in Adult Education or willingness to work towards. Qualification must be achieved within agreed timescale.

Responsibilities

• The successful postholder will provide a telephone triage & support service to service users and carers who self-refer via NHS111 option 2 and supporting service users who are awaiting Mental Health Act Assessment in the Health Based Place of Safety.
• You will work as a member of the Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team, providing intensive home treatment to patients and support for their families in accordance with Trust and Crisis Team Policies and Procedures.
• The postholder will manage a defined caseload of clients experiencing an acute mental health episode, using evidence based, client centred, hope and recovery, health promotion and relapse prevention orientated principles and practice.
