Job summary

Bedfordshire Police is seeking an Operations Planner within ERSOU Counter Terrorism Policing. The role supports surveillance deployments across the Eastern Region, coordinating planning, briefing and intelligence production to disrupt terrorist activity.

The successful candidate will research and develop operational packages, present briefings, and maintain evidential logs in a highly sensitive environment. Applicants should be ready to travel as required and comply with strict vetting standards.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence.
• Good computer and keyboard skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a highly confidential and security-conscious environment.
• Experience in surveillance planning and research.
• Experience producing operational orders and delivering operational briefings.
• Knowledge of surveillance tactics and operational processes.
• Experience researching information across police systems and databases.

Responsibilities

• Research and develop comprehensive operational briefing packages.
• Assess feasibility of surveillance deployments.
• Collate intelligence from multiple sources and support operational activity.
• Present operational briefings and maintain evidential logs.
• Assist with surveillance deployments when required.
• Produce intelligence and evidential products from surveillance material.
