Job summary

RSR is recruiting for an Intelligence Support Officer to join a Divisional Intelligence Unit in Burnley. This role supports operational policing through research, development and management of information and intelligence.

The successful candidate will maintain an accurate intelligence picture, ensuring information is assessed, recorded and disseminated to support policing activity and decision-making. Strong IT and data handling skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience researching and interrogating computer systems and databases.
• Experience with digital media and open-source research.
• Strong accuracy and attention to detail when collecting information.
• Experience evaluating and disseminating information or intelligence.
• Familiarity with data protection and information handling standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide an efficient intelligence support function to the Divisional Intelligence Unit.
• Research, develop and action information to support operational activity.
• Research and interrogate computer systems and databases, ensuring records are accurate.
• Assess information, identify risks, relationships, patterns and trends.
• Produce intelligence briefs and management information for decision-making.
• Handle confidential information and respond to intelligence queries.
• Attend briefings and liaise with internal and external teams to share information.
