Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services in London is seeking a experienced Control Room Operator for Canary Wharf. The role covers CCTV monitoring, incident management and emergency coordination within the Regional Control Centre, supporting a UK-wide estate.

You will handle security surveillance, threat detection, access control, and reporting while liaising with on-site teams, external agencies, and travel risk services. Shift pattern is 12-hour, alternating days and nights.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years active experience in a Security Control Room or regional Operations Centre.
• Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence and SIA CCTV Licence.
• Valid EFAW or FAW certification.
• Experience with CCTV and video analytics systems.
• Experience with access control systems.
• Strong observation, incident management, and reporting skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate CCTV and video analytics systems across client estates.
• Identify suspicious activity and coordinate security responses.
• Manage security incidents and emergency coordination.
• Escalate incidents per procedures and SOPs.
• Maintain incident logs and generate detailed reports.
• Support audits and monthly system testing.
• Coordinate with emergency services when required.
