Job summary

mydentist is seeking an Integration Engineer to join our Tech & Transformation team within the Support Centre in Greater Manchester. This hybrid role will involve one day a week in the office and delivery of robust data flows across clinical, finance, CRM and patient systems.

You will work with Boomi AtomSphere and Azure Integration Services, implementing SOAP/REST APIs and file-based integrations while collaborating with architects, data engineers and product teams.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering integrations in a complex enterprise environment.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs and integration patterns.
• Hands-on with Boomi or Azure iPaaS platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise-grade integration solutions (Boomi/Azure).
• Build and support integrations across clinical, finance, CRM, and patient systems.
• Implement and maintain SOAP and REST APIs for secure data exchange.

You’ll be joining our Tech & Transformation within our Support Centre, which is in Greater Manchester (M26 1GG). The role is a hybrid role ideally including one day a week in the office.

Your future, your role

As an Integration Engineer, you will work across a diverse integration landscape spanning clinical, finance, CRM, and patient data systems, delivering clean, resilient data flows while collaborating closely with architects, data engineers, and product teams. The role requires a strong understanding of REST APIs, asynchronous and event-driven integration patterns, and how data moves at scale across distributed platforms.

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise grade integration solutions using Boomi AtomSphere and Azure Integration Services (including Azure API Management).
• Build and support integrations across clinical, finance, CRM, and patient systems, including platforms such as R4, Dentally, IFS, Salesforce, and internal CRM solutions.
• Implement and maintain SOAP and REST based APIs to enable secure and reliable data exchange between applications.
• Develop and support file based integrations using FTP and MFT, ensuring secure data transfer and operational reliability.
• Work closely with Solution Architects, Enterprise Architects, Data Engineers, Product Teams, and Business Stakeholders to understand integration requirements.
• Use AI assisted coding tools (e.g. Claude Code or similar) to accelerate delivery through tasks such as boilerplate generation, test case creation, and rapid exploration of unfamiliar APIs.
• Stay current with Boomi, Azure, and integration best practices, continuously improving how integrations are designed, built, and maintained.

An ideal candidate will have extensive experience delivering integrations in a complex enterprise environment with hands on experience with iPaaS solutions like Boomi and/or Azure Integration Services.
