Job summary

AIRBUS Defence and Space Limited in the UK is seeking an Integrated Project Planner to support major programmes in Secure Communications. You will develop and maintain top-level and IPT schedules, tracking costs, milestones and risks, and provide leadership in reporting for senior management.

The role requires expertise in scheduling, EV/Risk management, and familiarity with MS Project and Primavera P6. Travel within the UK is required, with locations in Stevenage or Portsmouth.

Qualifications

• Experience in project management with scheduling, logic checks and EV/Risk management.
• Knowledge of planning best practices, dependencies, resource scheduling and WBS.
• Planning to stage boundaries and contingency planning.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain and deliver top and IPT schedules on time.
• Analyze project costs vs forward load with resource tracking.
• Track payment milestones and conduct risk analyses.
• Manage change control, waivers and deviations.
• Support consolidation and provide management data and reporting.
• Produce consolidated monthly/quarterly reports to senior management.
• Create/maintain standard templates for schedules and reporting.
• Provide project administration support to the PM and team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an Integrated Project Planner to support the major programmes and growth projects delivering new strategic work and services within Secure Communications (SC) UK.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM

• Creation, maintenance and timely delivery of the top level and lower level schedules, and Integrated Project Team (IPT) schedules
• Analysing project costs versus project forward load in conjunction with resource tracking / management on behalf of the Project Manager
• Payment Milestone tracking
• Risk analysis tracking
• Change Control (incl. waivers and deviations)
• Support management consolidation, judgement, recommendations and the timely provision of all necessary management data and reporting information
• Provide consolidated project reports on a monthly and quarterly basis to senior management including special focus reports as required
• Create and maintain standardised templates for schedules and project reporting
• Project administration support to the Project Manager and the project team

ABOUT YOU

• Experienced in working within a Project Management, including scheduling, logic checking, Earned Value and Risk Management
• Knowledge of planning best practice, e.g. logic linking/dependencies, resource scheduling, preforming schedule health checks, critical Path Analysis, and work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
• Planning to stage boundaries – contingency planning
• Knowledge/understanding of Project Management methodologies
• Proficient use of both MS Project Professional & Primavera P6 Professional
