Job summary

Cheshire East Council is recruiting a Team Manager for the Integrated Front Door service in Children’s Services. The role leads a multi-agency team responsible for receiving, screening, assessing, and responding to contacts about children and families, ensuring timely, proportionate, and safe decisions.

You will manage practitioners, promote partnership work, and uphold statutory guidance and high standards of practice, guiding thresholds that are child-centered and evidence-based.

About the role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Team Manager to lead our Integrated Front Door (IFD) service. This is a pivotal role at the heart of Children's Services, providing leadership, oversight, and direction to a multi-agency team responsible for receiving, screening, assessing, and responding to contacts relating to children and families.

As Team Manager, you will ensure that children are safeguarded through timely, proportionate, and effective decision-making. You will lead a skilled team of practitioners, promote excellent partnership working, and drive high standards of practice, ensuring that threshold decisions are child-focused, evidence-based, and compliant with statutory guidance.
