Job summary

Kepak Group in Merthyr Tydfil is hiring Despatch Operatives to join our busy Despatch Department. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, 6.00am–3.30pm, with a pay rate of £13.75 per hour.

You will rotate stock, unload/load wagons, pick and scan orders, and ensure accurate despatch documentation. Training and career progression in a busy meat processing environment are available.

Qualifications

• Experience with stock rotation and despatch processes.
• Ability to operate site stock systems for booking in stock.
• Awareness of health and safety requirements in a food warehouse.
• Willingness to work early hours and follow procedures.

Kepak St. Merryn in Merthyr Tydfil has combined beef and lamb processing and packing facilities. We offer beef and lamb products ranging from retail ready cuts for butchers' counters to branded packaged meat, all as part of our service; raised on open pastures, sourced from local farmers and hand-selected by our master butchers, we produce beef and lamb products with integrity and unmatched quality assurance.

Our Despatch Department are looking for candidates with initiative, who want to learn and grow in a the position, to become Despatch Operatives in our busy Merthyr Tydfil site.

This is a full time, permanent position working Monday to Friday from 6.00am to 3.30pm with an hourly rate of £13.75.

Job Description:

• Ensuring stock is rotated within department
• Booking in stock and unloading/loading wagons
• Picking and scanning to orders
• Primary purpose is to ensure correct products are picked and quantities despatched.
• Being accountable for ensuring all documentation is accurately completed.
