Job summary

Sanderson is seeking a skilled Business Systems Analyst (Insurance) to join their hybrid team operating across Essex and London. The role focuses on inspecting business processes, configuring insurance systems and delivering technical solutions.

You will gather requirements, write SQL queries, and translate business needs into functional specifications while collaborating with developers, end users and project teams. Hybrid pattern: 2 days in the office per week.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst or Technical Business Analyst.
• Strong understanding of the General Insurance and/or London Market Insurance sector.
• Solid SQL skills with experience querying and manipulating data.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyse and document business and system requirements.
• Configure insurance software platforms to meet business and client needs.
• Translate complex business requirements into functional specifications.
• Build and write SQL queries to report on, analyse and update data.
• Produce feasibility studies, project documentation and solution designs.
• Collaborate with development teams, stakeholders and end users throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support system testing, implementation and user acceptance activities.
• Create reports and management information using reporting tools.
• Deliver user training and documentation where required.
• Drive projects forward, taking ownership from requirements through to successful delivery.
