• Local government experience is desirable but not essential.
• Experience leading and negotiating significant insurance tenders and renewals.

Responsibilities

• Take the lead in all insurance matters including the development and procurement of the Council’s insurance programme.
• Administer and manage insurance policies and renewals.
• Maintain the council’s corporate risk register and mitigate risks.
• Provide strategic insight to shape the insurance position of the Council.
• Communicate insurance advice to members and officers.
