Job summary

Defaqto’s Market Pricing team analyzes insurance pricing data to provide clear, actionable insights for clients. You’ll own monthly outputs, explore trends, and work with the Product Manager to shape products.

You’ll line-manage a Market Analyst, present findings to clients, support business development and contribute to media materials on pricing and market trends. Hybrid London role with two days in Farringdon.

Qualifications

• Experience in insurance, financial services or a related analytical field.
• Working knowledge of SQL and Excel.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret trends and patterns in data and turn them into meaningful insight.
• Experience working with large or complex datasets, including cleaning, validating and structuring messy data.
• The ability to communicate data-driven findings clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Confidence presenting analysis and insights to clients.
• Experience contributing to, or taking ownership of, product development or improvement.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly insights output.
• Deliver monthly client calls, presenting pricing insights clearly and confidently.
• Support client acquisition through product demonstrations, meetings and other client-facing activity.
• Build strong relationships with clients and understand how they use our data to support their businesses.
• Contribute insight and analysis to media materials covering insurance pricing and market trends.
• Work closely with the Product Manager to support product development and deliver meaningful outcomes.
• Line manage and support the development of a Market Analyst, helping them grow their analytical and industry expertise.
