Job summary

Hireful Ltd in London is seeking a Senior Pricing Analyst or Pricing Lead to join the Risk Pricing team. You will build and refine pricing models for general insurance, using GLMs and ML techniques, and influence pricing decisions and profitability.

You will work in a hybrid setup, commuting to the central London office about one day per month. The role requires strong analytics, stakeholder communication, and experience with pricing software such as Emblem or Radar.

Qualifications

• Experience in general insurance pricing, ideally personal lines.
• Strong analytical skills with large, complex datasets using tools such as Python, R, SQL or SAS.
• Great attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Confident stakeholder management and the ability to explain technical work clearly.
• Experience with pricing software (Emblem, Radar) and knowledge of ML techniques is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve risk pricing models using GLMs and advanced techniques.
• Drive R&D and feature engineering to raise model sophistication.
• Monitor loss ratios, risk mix and pricing assumptions; translate findings into actionable insights.
• Help shape processes and documentation to keep outputs accurate and transparent.

Are you passionate about using data science to solve complex pricing challenges?

A well-established global insurance provider is looking for a Senior Pricing Analyst or Pricing Lead to join its supportive Risk Pricing team, where you will directly influence pricing decisions, growth and profitability. It's a role with real scope to use modern techniques, and the team will invest in your development from day one.

Location: Based in central London, this hybrid role only needs you in the office one day a month, so it's commutable from a wide area including Milton Keynes, Northampton, Reading, Oxford and even Bristol !

Salary: up to £60,000 at Senior Analyst level or up to £75,000 at Pricing Lead level

What you'll be doing....

• Driving R&D and feature engineering to keep raising the sophistication of the team's models
• Monitoring expected loss ratios, risk mix and pricing assumptions, and turning findings into clear, actionable insight for the market pricing team
• Helping shape the processes and documentation that keep pricing outputs accurate and transparent

What you need to bring...

• Experience in general insurance pricing, ideally personal lines
• Strong analytical skills with large, complex datasets, using tools such as Python, R, SQL or SAS
• Great attention to detail and a track record of hitting deadlines
• Confident stakeholder management and the ability to explain technical work clearly
• Experience with Emblem, Radar, Excel VBA or similar pricing software would be advantageous, as would knowledge of machine learning techniques and pricing optimisation.
