A leading Insurance Company is looking to appoint a Senior Claims Counsel in London on a 12-month contract. This is an exciting opportunity to join a market leader and make a valuable contribution to the successful functioning of the legal team.
The successful candidate will sit across the Claims and Legal teams to advise on coverage, strategy and litigation through the life cycle of a claim. You will work across all lines of business and multi-jurisdiction, supporting claims teams globally.
Core duties and responsibilities:
You will be a solicitor qualified in England & Wales, United States or similar jurisdiction with at least 6 PQE. You will have excellent technical legal skills and demonstrable experience of at least five years in coverage advisory and dispute resolution in the insurance industry. Marine experience is desirable but not essential. It is essential to be able to demonstrate a pragmatic solutions-based counsel and strong relationship building skills combined with excellent communication skills. You will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, acting with a degree of independence whilst being part of a supportive and collegiate culture. You must have the flexibility and drive to support a multidisciplinary team with a solutions-based attitude.
