Associate – Insurance Disputes | 12-Month FTC | London (Hybrid)

We are working with a leading law firm to hire an Associate into its London-based Insurance Disputes team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This role offers exposure to an exceptional range of high-profile, complex insurance matters. You will work across coverage and liability defence, engaging directly with Lloyd’s market clients, insurers, reinsurers, and MGAs. The caseload includes matters involving property damage, cyber, D&O, credit & political risk, professional indemnity, and other specialty lines.

? What You'll Be Doing

• Advising on policy interpretation, subrogation, and liability defence
• Acting for insurers in disputes involving professional services (e.g. legal, financial, and construction sectors)
• Collaborating with multiple partners on complex and high-value matters
• Managing a diverse and fast-paced workload in a supportive, team-driven environment

? What We're Looking For

• Strong insurance disputes experience (particularly in coverage and/or professional indemnity)
• Solid understanding of the London insurance market and Lloyd’s structure
• Excellent drafting, communication, and negotiation skills
• Comfortable working across different matter types and with multiple stakeholders
• A team player who can manage time effectively and contribute to mentoring junior colleagues
