Job summary

Admiral is seeking an experienced Finance Manager for its UK Insurance FP&A team in Cardiff. The role leads forecasting, analysis and interpretation of insurance performance to provide clear commercial insight for Finance, Product and Executives.

You will develop robust forecasts, challenge key assumptions, and support governance processes while influencing senior stakeholders across Risk, Capital and Actuarial functions.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with post-qualification experience in FP&A, insurance finance or actuarial analytics.
• Strong understanding of insurance financial performance and key value drivers.
• Experience in financial forecasting, planning and scenario modelling.
• Proven ability to operate independently and own complex technical processes.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead UK insurance forecasting and scenario modelling, producing robust financial planning projections.
• Act as SME on insurance and reinsurance results, translating concepts into clear insights for finance and non-finance audiences.
• Own IFRS 17 insurance result analysis across UK Insurance, explaining movements and drivers.
• Produce executive-level commentary and presentations for senior leadership and governance forums.
• Collaborate with Risk, Capital and Actuarial to ensure aligned and credible plans.
• Drive ORSA and capital planning analyses, including stress-testing.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, automation and reporting quality.
