Job summary

The role partners with underwriting and other business units to shape data solutions that deliver measurable outcomes, while setting governance, SLAs, and KPI standards for data quality and adoption.

Qualifications

• Extensive data product management experience within insurance.
• Lloyds market experience highly desirable.
• Strong stakeholder management skills.
• Problem solving skills.
• Strong communicator (verbal and written).
• Strong data experience with the ability to come up with data solutions.
• Data warehouse and reporting experience.
• Strong technical and data literacy.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership and responsibility of all data products at Talbot.
• Define and own the Data product strategy, value proposition, and roadmap aligned to business goals.
• Partner with senior stakeholders in Underwriting and other business functions to shape data solutions that will deliver measurable business outcomes.
• Set standards, prioritization criteria, and governance expectations; drive delivery through collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Lead with Data Product Owners to translate strategy into prioritized backlogs, acceptance criteria, and release plans.
• Establish data product SLAs and KPIs covering data quality, timeliness, completeness, adoption and business impact.
• Own stakeholder communication, planning and change management.
• Lead user engagement and continuously improve the product through feedback, analytics, training and post-implementation reviews.
• Drive adoption of analytics products through targeted communications, champion networks, and embedded business support.
• Adopt AI & automation to enhance and support data product strategy and delivery.
• Collaborate with development teams to translate business needs into data product changes and ensure solutions meet requirements.
• Day-to-day line management for team members, including objective setting, performance reviews, coaching and hiring support.
• Define a clear data products controls & monitoring framework to ensure Production readiness.
• Participate in the Service Delivery Governance reviews.
