Salary: Up to £40,000.00 OTE (depending on experience)

Working hours: 35 hours per week

Duration: Permanent

About the role

Lloyd & Whyte, proudly part of Benefact Group, is seeking an Insurance Consultant to join our AGI team at the Taunton office.

The AGI team is looking for a candidate to provide exceptional service and advice to clients to maximize client satisfaction, meet new business and product income targets, and maintain the highest retention levels, supporting our overall business strategy.

Key responsibilities
  • Achieve individual objectives and KPIs
  • Provide holistic insurance reviews for commercial clients, identifying and promoting insurance products for both new and existing clients
  • Deliver new business income and retention targets, service KPIs, and workflow standards
  • Manage client relationships and activity logs effectively
  • Visit or conduct video meetings with clients as needed
  • Represent the company professionally at exhibitions
  • Share market information and trends with your line manager
  • Collaborate with the Client Liaison Team to maximize client opportunities
  • Support team development through coaching and adherence to procedures
  • Promote a customer-first culture aligned with 'Treating Customers Fairly'
  • Assist in professional development and maintain technical knowledge
  • Support workflow and productivity monitoring
  • Contribute to company values and culture
  • Participate in competency assessments and process improvements
  • Maintain technical competence and handle complex referrals
  • Underwrite scheme policies appropriately
  • Ensure proper collection of client money
  • Research new insurance products and introducers
Knowledge, skills, and experience
  • Experience in insurance in a similar role
  • Chartered Insurance Institute Certificate in Insurance
  • Preferably working towards Chartered Insurance Institute Diploma
  • Strong communication skills for building client rapport
  • Target-driven with a holistic client approach
  • Motivational coaching skills
  • Creative in team shaping for service and efficiency
  • Ability to work within a regulated, compliant environment
  • Organized, resourceful, and deadline-oriented
