Salary: Up to £40,000.00 OTE (depending on experience)

Working hours: 35 hours per week

Duration: Permanent

About the role

Lloyd & Whyte, proudly part of Benefact Group, is seeking an Insurance Consultant to join our AGI team in Taunton.

The AGI team is looking for a candidate to provide exceptional service and advice to clients to maximize client satisfaction, achieve new business and related product income targets, and maintain the highest retention levels, supporting our overall business strategy.

Key responsibilities
  1. Achieve individual objectives and KPIs as set and agreed.
  2. Provide holistic insurance reviews for commercial clients, identifying and promoting related insurance products for both new and existing clients.
  3. Meet new business income, retention targets, service KPIs, and workflow standards.
  4. Maintain a comprehensive diary and activity log to manage daily income generation.
  5. Manage key client relationships as required.
  6. Visit or arrange video meetings with clients.
  7. Attend exhibitions professionally when required.
  8. Share market information and trends with your line manager.
  9. Collaborate with the Client Liaison Team to maximize client opportunities.
  10. Support and coach team members to ensure consistent process and advice, following procedures and guidelines.
  11. Support service excellence and a culture of ‘Treating Customers Fairly’.
  12. Assist colleagues with professional development and maintain technical knowledge.
  13. Support daily workflow and team productivity.
  14. Promote company values and culture.
  15. Assist with competency sign-off and conduct assessments as needed.
  16. Review and improve processes, systems, and procedures.
  17. Maintain technical competence and knowledge of products, market trends, and underwriting guidelines.
  18. Underwrite scheme policies according to guidelines.
  19. Focus on client money collection within company guidelines.
  20. Research potential new insurance products and introducers.
Knowledge, skills, and experience
  1. Previous insurance experience in a similar role.
  2. Chartered Insurance Institute Certificate in Insurance.
  3. Preferably working towards Chartered Insurance Institute Diploma in Insurance.
  4. Excellent communication skills to build long-term rapport via phone, face-to-face, or video.
  5. Target-driven and proactive.
  6. Ability to provide holistic client service.
  7. Motivational coaching and training skills.
  8. Creative in shaping team focus on service, quality, and efficiency.
  9. Ability to work in a regulated, compliant, and client-focused environment.
  10. Organized, resourceful, and deadline-oriented.
  11. Detail-oriented with a quality focus.
  12. Proactive in facing new challenges and opportunities.
