Salary: Up to £40,000.00 OTE (depending on experience)

Working hours: 35 hours per week

Duration: Permanent

About the role

Lloyd & Whyte, proudly part of Benefact Group, is seeking an Insurance Consultant to join our AGI Commercial Operations team at our Taunton office.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced insurance professional seeking their next career opportunity. In this role, you will support our General Insurance division by providing expert insurance advice to clients via phone and email, aiming to maintain high retention levels and meet income targets aligned with our business strategy.

Key responsibilities
  1. Support your Line Manager and team in achieving retention and income targets, service KPIs, and workflow standards.
  2. Act as deputy to your Line Manager.
  3. Provide support and coaching to ensure consistent process and advice, following all procedures and guidelines.
  4. Promote service excellence and a culture of ‘Treating Customers Fairly’ to ensure positive customer outcomes.
  5. Assist colleagues’ professional development, including qualifications and technical knowledge, to maintain required competency levels.
  6. Organize and monitor daily workflow and productivity.
  7. Foster our values and culture within the team.
  8. Encourage the team to maximize business opportunities, promote insurance reviews, and meet client survey targets.
  9. Assist with competency assessments, call and file reviews.
  10. Review and suggest improvements to processes, systems, and procedures.
  11. Support complaint handling processes and ensure compliance.
  12. Represent the company professionally at association events.
  13. Maintain technical knowledge of relevant products, market trends, and underwriting guidelines.
Knowledge, skills, and experience
  1. Proven knowledge and experience in the UK Insurance Market.
  2. Ability to commute to our Taunton office on a hybrid basis (4+ times per week).
  3. Chartered Institute Certificate in Insurance (Cert CII).
  4. Willingness to work towards a Diploma in Insurance, with support for study expenses.
