Job summary

Service Care Solutions is seeking an Insurance and Claims Officer in Leicestershire for a temporary assignment. The role involves managing a varied caseload of insurance claims, investigating disputed cases and potential fraud, and helping shield the organisation from unjustified claims and financial losses.

The postholder will liaise with claimants, solicitors, insurers and internal departments to gather information, negotiate settlements and resolve disputes, while maintaining accurate records

Qualifications

• Experience handling insurance claims within a local authority or insurance company.
• Understanding of common law negligence, liability and risk management.
• Strong IT, analytical and communication skills; ability to assess evidence and produce reports.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and manage a caseload of insurance claims, assess liability and identify potential fraud.
• Liaise with claimants, solicitors, insurers and internal teams to settle claims.
• Prepare cases for legal action and arrange loss adjusters and site visits to establish circumstances.
• Maintain accurate records and generate reports while supporting risk management improvements.
