Job summary

Essential Employment is seeking an Insurance Officer for a temporary role in Newton Abbot. The successful candidate will support the Finance Systems & Transaction Manager by delivering insurance administration services, including claims handling and advice.

You will maintain the insurance claims database, liaise with insurers, brokers and solicitors, assist with renewals, and contribute to reports for the Accountancy Team and senior leadership. The role offers PAYE rate of £18.04 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Insurance claims handling
• Provision of insurance advice
• Maintenance of database of insurance claims
• Liaise with internal clients and external contacts to progress and support insurance claims, including insurance broker, insurance provider, claims handler, appointed solicitor and loss adjuster
• Maintenance of insurance claims database and assist with the development of the system and reporting
• Assist in completion of annual insurance renewal documentation
• Contribute to reports for members, Senior Leadership Team and partner working groups to consider on issues relating to the Accountancy Team’s functions
• Make sure that Finance Team offers a customer focused service
