Insurance Claims Handler

Salary & Benefits

We offer a competitive salary, depending on experience (£28,967 - £35,976 per annum).

Location & Work Type

Location: Bradford / Hybrid Working (2-3 days office a week Bradford).
Work type: Permanent, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Insurance Claims Handler to join the Insurance Team at Yorkshire Water, helping us provide the best service to our customers. This role involves handling a variety of claims with attention to detail and care, playing a crucial role in customer service. Responsibilities
  • Process personal injury and property damage claims from notification to settlement.
  • Review, investigate, and assess claim validity and scope related to water utility incidents.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external parties to gather evidence and witness statements.
  • Maintain accurate records of claims, actions, and outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, regulations, and health and safety legislation.
  • Provide excellent customer service, addressing concerns and keeping claimants informed.
  • Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in handling insurance claims, preferably within water utilities or similar industries.
  • Understanding of insurance claims processes, legal frameworks, and liability assessments.
  • Professional qualifications in claims handling or insurance are advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills, negotiation ability.
  • Strong analytical skills and multitasking capabilities.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Passion for delivering excellent customer service.
