Job summary

Blue Arrow is recruiting an Insurance Officer at their Devon site (TQ12) for a part-time role, 22.5 hours over three days, with an hourly rate of £18.04. The contract runs until April 2027 and offers essential administrative and operational support to the Council’s insurance function.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Certificate in Insurance or equivalent.
• Experience in insurance administration is desirable.
• Ability to liaise with internal teams and external contacts.

Responsibilities

• Insurance claims handling from notification to resolution.
• Provide insurance-related advice where appropriate.
• Maintain and update the insurance claims database.
• Coordinate with insurance brokers, insurers, claims handlers, solicitors and loss adjusters to progress claims.
• Assist with annual insurance renewal documentation and related reporting.
• Contribute to reports for members and senior officers to support decision-making.
