Job summary

Marsh McLennan is seeking a Broking Manager to join our Commercial Team in the UK. You will build and maintain strong relationships with clients and insurers, negotiate terms, and provide technical expertise to internal client servicing teams, helping shape placement strategy and market positioning.

This role requires proven experience in commercial insurance broking or underwriting, excellent organization, and the ability to handle multiple enquiries.

Qualifications

• Proven experience of commercial insurance broking or underwriting is essential.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple enquiries simultaneously.
• A good awareness of clients' business, their insurance programmes, and service plans.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships and develop strategic partnerships with key insurers whilst negotiating to achieve the best terms and deliver a first-class service for clients.
• Act as the reference point for advice and technical expertise to the internal client servicing teams.
• Provide recommendations and advice on placement strategy, programme structure, and market conditions, including occasional presentations to clients where appropriate.
• Fully document all quotations received and advise the Client Servicing team of all conditions.
• Attend client and insurer meetings in partnership with the client service team.
• Build strong relationships with insurers and seek feedback on Marsh’s service through ongoing dialogue.
