Job summary

WRS Insurance Brokers in Colchester is seeking an Insurance Apprentice to join SEIB in our Colchester office. You will deliver administrative support to the team, assist brokers and customers, and work toward a Level 3 Certificate in Insurance.

This role offers excellent development within a supportive environment, a 35-hour week, and a fixed term contract of up to 18 months. Training and progression opportunities are provided throughout the apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 4 (C) GCSEs in English and Mathematics.
• Eager to learn and develop new skills through workplace experience and apprenticeship training.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the confidence to build strong relationships with clients, insurers, and colleagues.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and good IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by building and maintaining relationships with clients, insurers, and underwriters.
• Manage policy renewals, mid-term adjustments, queries, and other insurance administration accurately and efficiently.
• Help secure and retain business by identifying suitable and cost-effective insurance solutions for clients.
• Support new business activities, including preparing quotations and ensuring all required documentation is completed.
• Work in line with company procedures, regulatory requirements, and customer service standards while achieving individual and team objectives.

Salary: Circa £20,000.00

Working hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday
