SEIB Insurance Brokers in South Ockendon invites applications for an Insurance Apprentice to join our team. You will support brokers with administrative tasks while gaining a Level 3 Certificate in Insurance and learning on the job.

This fixed-term role offers 35 hours per week, a starting salary around £20,000 and full training support, helping you develop industry knowledge and a path toward a professional qualification within 18 months.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in English and Maths at minimum grade 4 (C).
• Eager to learn and develop new skills through apprenticeship training.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills with clients, insurers and colleagues.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and good IT skills.
• Professional, reliable and aligned with company values.
• Team player capable of supporting colleagues and customers.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support existing commercial insurance customers with a professional service.
• Process policy renewals, MTAs and related documentation accurately and on time.
• Maintain records, process payments and support credit control.
• Work within delegated authority and refer non-standard risks to insurers.
• Ensure activities comply with FCA regulations and company policies.

Insurance Apprentice

We are looking for an Insurance Apprentice to join SEIB in our South Ockendon office. Excellent benefits and support to obtain a Level 3 Certificate in Insurance.

Salary: Circa £20,000.00

Working hours: 35 hours per week

Duration: Fixed Term Contract - up to 18 months

As an Insurance Apprentice, you will provide exceptional administrative support to the team, delivering high levels of service to brokers and customer; whilst learning the job, building knowledge and skills to gain a Level 3 Certificate in Insurance, and preparing for going out into the workplace.

What you'll be doing

• Manage and support existing commercial insurance customers, providing a professional and efficient service.

• Process policy renewals, mid-term adjustments (MTAs), and associated documentation accurately and on time.

• Maintain accurate records, process payments in line with company procedures, and support credit control activities.

• Work within delegated authority levels, referring non-standard risks to insurers when required.

• Ensure all activities are completed in line with FCA regulations, company policies, and agreed performance objectives.

What you'll need to have

• Minimum Grade 4 (C) GCSEs in English and Mathematics.

• Eager to learn and develop new skills through workplace experience and apprenticeship training.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the confidence to build strong relationships with clients, insurers, and colleagues.

• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and good IT skills.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and provide excellent support to colleagues and customers.
