Your new role
As an Insurance & Risk Manager, you will determine the appropriate level of insurance protection to safeguard the business, manage broker and insurer relations, arrange insurance coverage, handle claims management, and negotiate settlements. You will also oversee risk management to minimize loss ratios, ensure all insurance requirements are met for residential and commercial properties, and negotiate the best coverage for clients. Additionally, you will manage claims handling and work closely with insurers, managing agents, and property managers. This role includes supervising one staff member (Assistant Insurance Manager).
What you'll need to succeed
Experience as an Insurance Manager with a focus on Real Estate or within a broker handling Real Estate risks is essential. You should possess excellent facilitation, communication, presentation, and organizational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across all levels. Empathy and integrity in dealing with clients experiencing insured events are important. High initiative and professionalism are required.
