Insurance Advisor Position at One Broker Group

One Broker (part of the Jensten Group) is pleased to be recruiting an Insurance Advisor for our successful team in Cambridge.

Our friendly Personal Lines team consists of 11 colleagues within a larger broking office of over 40 people. While we offer a range of personal insurance products, this role will primarily focus on providing clients with adequate home insurance coverage, including standard and non-standard policies.

We seek individuals with previous insurance experience who are eager to join our team and develop a rewarding career within the insurance broking sector. Full support and training will be provided to learn about our household products and to advise clients on their insurance needs.

The role initially involves full-time office work, with a flexible blend of office and home working available upon successful completion of the probation period.

Key Responsibilities

• Checking new policy documentation for accuracy and forwarding it to clients or liaising with insurers
• Negotiating and inviting renewal of allocated client policies
• Ensuring all client records accurately reflect current cover, including sums insured, perils, excesses, extensions, and exclusions
• Processing mid-term adjustments
• Responding promptly to clients’ daily enquiries and managing expectations
• Maintaining an effective diary system

About You

As an Insurance Advisor, you should possess strong customer service skills, the ability to multi-task, and good time management. Prior insurance experience in any capacity (administration, claims, underwriting, or account handling) is required.

Additional skills and requirements include:

• A good understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• A genuine interest in developing a career within the insurance/broking sector
• Customer service experience from a professional office environment
• A desire to pursue CII qualifications (not essential)
