Job summary

MORPh Clinical Services is seeking an experienced Diabetes Pharmacist to join our MORPh team in a flexible, remote role. The pharmacist will specialise in insulin management for complex type 2 diabetes patients, providing autonomous, evidence-based insulin changes and advanced prescribing recommendations.

You will work with GPs and senior clinicians, reviewing regimens, titrating insulin, and ensuring safe, glycemic targets.

Qualifications

• GPhC registered with 2+ years post-registration and 1+ year in diabetes management.
• MPharm/BPharm degree.
• Proficient in SystemOne (S1) and EMIS.
• Experience initiating, titrating insulin in primary care.
• Knowledge of NICE guidelines for Type 2 diabetes.
• Experience in diabetes treatment escalation and insulin dose changes.

Responsibilities

• Insulin optimisation: Review and adjust regimens for Type 2 diabetes.
• Treatment escalation: Recommend insulin changes to GPs and clinicians.
• Medication reviews: Assess safety and efficacy of insulin therapies.
• Patient follow-up: Monitor for hypoglycemia and response after changes.
• Clinical enquiries: Answer insulin-related questions from patients.
• Multidisciplinary collaboration: Refer to specialists when needed.
