Job summary

Procter & Chester Measurements (UK) Ltd is expanding its technical team to support high-precision load measurement solutions. The Instrumentation & Control Engineer will design, manufacture and deliver measurement systems, working with production, calibration, suppliers and customers from concept through to field data capture.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Instrumentation & Control, Mechatronics, or related discipline.
• Experience with instrumentation, sensors, measurement or control systems preferred.
• Ability to produce and interpret CAD models and drawings with design control in mind.
• Understanding of instrumentation and data acquisition systems incl. amplifiers, digitisers, logging equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain CAD models and drawings for load cells and strain gauge installations.
• Produce BOMs, specifications, and build instructions for production.
• Support integration of test equipment into complex engineering systems.
• Take responsibility for data acquisition systems within the calibration laboratory.
• Assist with safety PLCs for lifting and testing projects.
• Provide technical installation support to customers and suppliers.
• Assist with test data processing, interpretation, and reporting.
• Maintain technical databases and engineering records.
• Contribute to whitepapers, notes, and internal documentation.
• Develop internal software tools and automation using MATLAB and VBA.
