Job summary

Barnsley Music Service is recruiting a Guitar Tutor to work with an outstanding team of music tutors, amazing young people and in excellent schools. You will deliver instrumental tuition, teaching guitar and ukulele to Key Stage 2 children in primary schools across the borough.

The role is permanent and salaried on Teachers’ terms and conditions, with pay during school holidays, a term-time pattern, access to the Teachers’ pension, and a corporate laptop and support.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching music to Key Stage 2 pupils.
• Ability to teach guitar and ukulele.
• Experience delivering lessons in schools.

Responsibilities

• Teach guitar and ukulele to KS2 pupils in primary schools across the borough.
• Lead small groups and one-to-one lessons.
• Collaborate with the Barnsley Music Service team and schools.
• Deliver engaging, inclusive instrumental tuition.

Instrumental Music Tutor – Guitar

Barnsley Music Service are seeking to recruit a Guitar Tutor to work alongside an outstanding team of music tutors, amazing young people and in excellent schools. We deliver an inclusive programme of instrumental and vocal tuition, creating inspiring musical opportunities for young people.

• Teaching Guitar/Ukulele to while classes of around 30 Key Stage 2 age children in primary schools
• Teaching Guitar to small groups (3-4 children) and Individuals in primary and secondary schools throughout the borough
• Work 4 Days per week
