Job summary

StepStone Group in London is seeking a highly organised Business Development Analyst/Senior Analyst to join the UK Institutional Business Development team. You will manage inbound client requests, coordinate responses across investment and product teams, and help deliver a consistent, high-quality client experience for institutional clients across private markets.

The role offers exposure to relationships across asset classes and the potential for increased responsibilities over time.

Qualifications

• Approximately 2–5 years of relevant professional experience
• Experience in asset management, a buy-side environment, private markets or a related investment firm
• Experience in institutional client servicing, client relationship management or product support
• Exposure to private markets is preferred but not required
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; flexibility on background
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word

Responsibilities

• Receive, coordinate and track inbound client requests, ensuring they reach the appropriate investment, product and internal teams.
• Act as a central project coordinator for client-related requests, managing multiple stakeholders, deadlines and deliverables.
• Follow up with internal teams to obtain timely responses and review materials before they are returned to clients.
• Support existing institutional client relationships, including meeting follow-ups and coordination of materials.
• Prepare and coordinate materials for client meetings, quarterly reviews and relationship-management activities.
• Support RFP responses and client materials with subject-matter experts.
• Assist with SPAR data checking and client reporting with a focus on accuracy.
• Conduct market mapping and research to support broader BD initiatives.
• Build familiarity with key client accounts and ensure consistent servicing across asset classes.
