Job summary

United Infrastructure Group is seeking an Installation Operative (Crane) to join our Power division in the Jones Lighting team. The role focuses on HIAB crane operations, installation and removal of street lighting columns, and ensuring site safety in a fast-paced outdoor environment.

Candidates should have street lighting experience, hold a Lorry loader ticket, NRSWA Streetworks and CSCS cards, and a full UK Class 2 driving licence with immediate start availability. Training support is provided.

Qualifications

• Street lighting experience is essential.
• Valid Lorry loader ticket is required.
• NRSWA Streetworks card is mandatory.
• CSCS Card (Construction Skills) is required.
• Full, clean Class 2 driving licence; immediate start available.

Responsibilities

• Direct HIAB crane operations during column movements, installations and removals.
• Serve as Primary Man on HIAB unit for safe installation/removal of street lighting columns.
• Excavate and reinstate ground surfaces as needed.
• Maintain site safety, health and environmental standards on site.
• Manage traffic signing, lighting and guarding per NRSWA Streetworks.
