Job summary

Selwood Limited in Liverpool is seeking a dedicated Installation Operative to join our Installations Team. The role involves carrying out pump installations and deinstallations at client sites and our branch yard, with travel across the UK under the direction of the Installation Supervisors.

You will work on site, support loading/unloading, and ensure safety, quality and paperwork compliance. A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel are essential, as is the ability to work at heights

Qualifications

• Must be willing to travel across the UK and stay away from home.
• Full UK driving licence (no more than 6 points).
• Aptitude to work on client sites including construction, wastewater and clean water.
• Willing to work at heights, in confined spaces and lone working; adhere to safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Promote and model the company's mission and values in installations across the UK.
• Carry out installations and deinstallations of pumps, pipework and equipment as directed by the Installation Supervisor.
• Assist drivers with loading/unloading, check paperwork, items, damages and fuel.
• Maintain a clean, organised on-site work area.
• Collaborate with specialist sub-contractors to complete projects.
• Prioritise safety and escalate issues to supervisors when needed.

About The Role:

We're looking for a dedicated and motivated Installation Operative to join our Installations Team our Liverpool branch. This role will involve working both at our branch yard and on-site for pump installations as needed.

The Installation Operative will be heavily involved in the day to day operations of our branch and projects within the surrounding region under the direction of the Installation Supervisors.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Promote and exercise the company's mission statement and core values to deliver the required uniformed approach to an installation across the UK.


• Carry out installations and deinstallations of pumps, pipework and associated equipment. as directed by the Installation Supervisor


• Assist our drivers with loading and unloading of our vehicles as well as checking against paperwork, missing items, damages, and fuel charges.


• Always maintain a clean and organised work area on-site.


• Work in conjunction with specialist sub-contractors, require completing the project in hand.


• Put safety first every time, demonstrate the confidence, knowledge, and experience to stop the installation and advise your supervisor if any safety issues arise at any time

Qualifications & Personal Attributes:

• Must have the aptitude to work on client sites, including construction, wastewater, and clean water.


• Flexible working hours and be available to be part of an 'on call' rota


• Must be willing to travel to jobs throughout the UK and on occasions work away from home.


• Full UK driving licence (no more than 6 points).

Preferred (but not essential)

• Holder of a construction Skills CSCS card


• National Water Hygiene Card


• Confined space trained


• Forklift truck operator certification


• An understanding of the workings of a temporary / permanent pumping solution

This role requires the employees to be willing and able to work at heights, work in confined spaces, lone working and work with sewage.

This role is subject to a safety critical medical.
