Job summary

Adcock Refrigeration and Air Conditioning in Chatham, Kent, is seeking an Installation Engineer to install and commission a wide range of air conditioning units across diverse sites in the UK. The role is mobile, traveling to client sites with the Project Manager to ensure installations meet the highest standards.

Candidates should have proven installation and commissioning experience for commercial and industrial clients, hold a valid UK driving licence, and be prepared to undergo a DBS check.

Qualifications

• Solid working knowledge as an air conditioning installation engineer.
• Proven experience installing and commissioning equipment for commercial and industrial clients.
• Refrigerant handling knowledge (C&G 2079) or equivalent.
• Excellent organisation, communication and prioritisation skills.
• Outstanding customer service with ability to explain technical jargon in plain language.
• Full, valid UK driving licence.
• Willingness to complete an advanced DBS check with barred lists (schools/hospitals).

Responsibilities

Installation Engineer

Location: Chatham, Kent (mobile role covering the UK)

Salary: Competitive salary plus overtime

Hours: 40 hours per week, plus overtime

We are currently recruiting an experienced Air Conditioning Installation Engineer to join our Sales and Installation team, based at our Chatham branch.

The Role

As an Installation Engineer, you will be responsible for installing and commissioning a wide range of air conditioning units across a very wide variety of sites. Working closely with the Project Manager, you will make sure all equipment is installed to the customer's specification, to the highest possible quality and level of service.

This is a mobile role. You will travel to client sites around Chatham and further afield throughout the UK, working with commercial and industrial customers in sectors such as retail, manufacturing and food production.

What We're Looking For

• Solid working knowledge as an air conditioning installation engineer
• Proven experience installing and commissioning equipment for commercial and industrial clients

• Outstanding customer service, with the ability to explain technical jargon in plain language

• Willingness to complete an advanced DBS check with barred lists check, as many of our customers are schools and hospitals
