Job summary

Bentley West Primary School is seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our team. This role is 32.5 hours per week, term time only, with a salary of £27,254-£33,699 FTE. The appointment is on a term-time basis and is intended to start as soon as possible.

We emphasise safeguarding, high standards, and a supportive environment where staff contribute to children’s development and wellbeing. A full DBS and pre-employment checks will be completed for the successful candidate.

Qualifications

• Has previous paid experience of working in a school as a Teaching Assistant.
• Already holds a relevant level 3 qualification and GCSE English and Maths minimum grade 4 or C.
• Has some experience of working with children with a variety of needs.
• Has a proven track record of contributing to the raising of standards in a school.
• Demonstrates a good understanding of child development and the learning process.
• Has experience of and the ability to deal positively with children, parents and other professionals who are involved in the children’s education.
• Is enthusiastic and willing to motivate and inspire our children.
• Is flexible to the needs of the children and have a commitment to their wellbeing and development.
• Has a commitment to working strategically as part of a team to improve standards in teaching and learning.
• Be a positive role model in school.
