Job summary

Bentley West Primary School invites applications for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis during term time. The role is 19.5 hours over 3 days per week, with pro-rata pay according to experience. Grade 3, SCP 9-22, FTE £27,254-£33,699, starting asap.

Qualifications

  • Previous paid experience in a school as a Teaching Assistant.
  • Holds a Level 3 qualification and GCSE English and Maths minimum grade 4 or C.
  • Experience working with children with a variety of needs.
  • Proven track record of contributing to raising of standards in a school.
  • Demonstrates a good understanding of child development and the learning process.
  • Experience of dealing positively with children, parents and other professionals.

Salary will be worked out pro-rata- term time only and according to experience.

We wish to appoint an Teaching Assistant who;

  • Has previous paid experience of working in a school as a Teaching Assistant
  • Already holds a relevant level 3 qualification and GCSE English and Maths minimum grade 4 or C.
  • Has some experience of working with children with a variety of needs
  • Has a proven track record of contributing to the raising of standards in a school
  • Demonstrates a good understanding of child development and the learning process
  • Has experience of and the ability to deal positively with children, parents and other professionals who are involved in the children’s education
  • Is enthusiastic and willing to motivate and inspire our children
  • Is flexible to the needs of the children and have a commitment to their wellbeing and development
  • Has a commitment to working strategically as part of a team to improve standards in teaching and learning
  • Be a positive role model in school
