Job summary

RNN Group is seeking a Teaching Assistant at the Rotherham Campus to support planning and delivery of teaching, learning, and assessment. You will work with Lecturers and Curriculum Teams to empower learners, including SEND students, to build independence and skills that lead to employment or further study.

Responsibilities include assisting in lesson delivery, creating ILPs, and using digital tools like Google Classroom to enhance learning.

Qualifications

• FE teaching method and classroom activity understanding.
• Strong belief in young people’s ability to progress with high expectations.
• Proficient with ICT and assistive tools to enhance teaching quality.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and assist learners across curriculum areas, ensuring safety and inclusion.
• Create and implement ILPs and EHCP targets tailored to individual needs.
• Break down complex skills into smaller tasks to promote independence and work skills.
• Guide students in using digital platforms and assistive technologies for learning.
• Prepare resources and support classroom dynamics with teachers/tutors.
• Monitor and provide feedback on learners’ progress in knowledge, skills and behaviours.
