Job summary

RNN Group in Rotherham Campus is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support planning, delivery of teaching, learning and assessment, collaborating with lecturers and curriculum teams.

The role prioritises SEND support, ILP target implementation, and digital learning with a focus on developing independence and work skills for learners. It is a permanent, full-time position at 37 hours per week, 40 weeks per year.

Qualifications

• FE methodology understanding and classroom activities
• Commitment to CPD and ongoing professional development
• Willingness to work towards Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification

Responsibilities

• Supervise and assist learners across curriculum areas, ensuring safety and inclusion.
• Implement ILPs and EHC plan targets to support individual needs.
• Break down skills into smaller tasks to build independence and employability.
• Guide use of digital platforms, Google Classroom and assistive technologies.
• Collaborate with teachers to prepare resources and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Track progress and provide feedback on knowledge, skills and behaviours.
