Job summary

RNN Group is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant at the Rotherham Campus to support delivery of high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across vocational areas. You will work with Lecturers, Tutors and Curriculum Teams to empower learners, including those with SEND, helping them build independence and transition to employment or further study.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification or willingness to work towards it.
• Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy qualifications (e.g., GCSE Grade C/4 or above).
• Up-to-date Safeguarding, Prevent, and Diversity & Inclusion.
• Current First Aid certificate (or willingness to work towards if required).
• Commitment to ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

Responsibilities

• Support planning and delivery of high-quality teaching, learning and assessment.
• Supervise and assist learners while ensuring safety, inclusion and wellbeing.
• Assist SEND & EHCP target implementation with ILPs.
• Break down complex skills into smaller tasks to build independence.
• Guide students in using digital platforms like Google Classroom and assistive tech.
• Collaborate with teachers to prepare resources and manage classroom dynamics.
• Monitor progress and provide feedback on knowledge, skills and behaviours.
