Job summary

GSL Education is seeking a passionate Teaching Assistant to join one of our client Primary schools in Tower Hamlets.

You will work with individuals and small groups, providing support to pupils, including those with Special Educational Needs, and collaborate with the class teacher to foster learning. The role starts ASAP and runs long term, Monday to Friday, 08:30–15:30, in a vibrant school community.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Teaching Assistant.
• Ability to provide 1:1 SEN support.
• Understanding of child development and effective support strategies.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration with colleagues.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and DBS checks.

Responsibilities

• Assist the class teacher to motivate and support learning.
• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils, including those with SEN.
• Implement tailored strategies to build confidence and progress.
• Contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
