Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Tower Hamlets. You will work closely with the class teacher and the SEN team to support pupils with SEN, helping them access learning, build confidence and progress academically and socially.

The role involves 1:1 and small-group support, fostering inclusive learning, and close collaboration with the SENCO and staff. Previous SEN experience is desirable; hours are Mon-Fri, 8:30am–4:00pm.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with SEN in a classroom setting.
• Ability to provide targeted 1:1 and small-group support.
• Strong communication and teamwork with teachers and staff.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with a range of SEN needs within the classroom.
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support as required.
• Help pupils engage with lessons and school activities.
• Support communication, social and emotional development of pupils.
• Implement individual learning and support strategies.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCO and other staff.
• Promote positive behaviour and an inclusive learning environment.
