Paston Sixth Form College is seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable Lecturer in Social Sciences (0.4 FTE) to join our successful team, delivering outstanding teaching to post-16 students with a focus on Criminology.

You will plan and deliver engaging lessons, monitor progress, contribute to curriculum development, and support Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) delivery within a supportive, ambitious teaching environment.

Qualifications

• Honours degree in Social Science or related discipline.
• Qualified teacher status or willingness to work towards a teaching qualification.
• Recent experience delivering teaching to post-16 learners.
• Ability to support Extended Project Qualification (EPQ).
• Strong knowledge of assessment requirements in Social Sciences.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding teaching across Social Sciences to post-16 learners.
• Plan, prepare and assess learning programmes for excellent outcomes.
• Monitor progress, attendance and achievement with timely interventions.
• Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement.
• Support student recruitment activities and events.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support learner success and safeguarding compliance.
