Job summary

Education Impact Academy Trust in North Birmingham seeks an enthusiastic Teacher for maternity cover to support pupils with complex needs and disabilities. You will deliver personalised learning, collaborate with TAs, therapists and families to ensure high-quality education and care.

The role is fixed-term until September 2028 (or when the substantive postholder returns) starting February 2027, with a SEN allowance and an Ofsted-outstanding school context.

Qualifications

• Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience planning and delivering effective teaching and learning.
• High aspirations for all pupils and high expectations.
• Ability to adapt teaching to meet individual learning needs.
• Commitment to ensuring every pupil achieves their potential.
• Strong relationships with pupils, families and professionals.
• Excellent communication, organisational and ICT skills.

Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering engaging, personalised and adaptive learning.
• Assessing, monitoring and reporting on pupil progress.
• Contributing to EHCP reviews and target setting.
• Promoting pupils' communication, independence, wellbeing and engagement.
• Working with Teaching Assistants and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Building partnerships with parents and other professionals.
• Supporting enrichment activities and educational visits.
