Job summary

Veritas Education is working with a well-established SEN school in Preston seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join their team. This is a full-time, long-term position starting ASAP in a supportive, inclusive environment.

You will teach small classes with ASC, MLD, SLD and SEMH needs, deliver differentiated lessons, work with Teaching Assistants and therapists, and use a therapeutic, child-centred approach to help pupils progress.

Qualifications

• QTS or QTLS with SEN experience.
• Calm, patient and proactive teaching style.
• Strong behaviour management and adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Teach small classes of pupils with ASC, MLD, SLD, SEMH and communication difficulties.
• Deliver creative, differentiated lessons engaging learners of all abilities.
• Collaborate with Teaching Assistants, therapists and senior leaders.
• Create a safe, structured and positive learning environment.
• Monitor progress and keep records in line with school policy.
• Use a therapeutic, trauma-informed and child-centred approach.
