Cury School in Cornwall is seeking an exceptional classroom teacher for a primary SEMH provision. You will work with the leadership team to drive school improvement and provide students with outstanding education, while supporting the SEMH needs of the pupils.

The role requires experience in special education with QTS and a commitment to helping all children achieve outstanding progress, including those with SEN in mainstream or special settings.

Formación

• Experience of special education with QTS and proven track record.
• SEMH experience would be an advantage.
• Desire and motivation to make a difference to students' lives.
• Belief that all children can make outstanding progress.
• Experience with children with SEN in mainstream or special provision.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out duties set out in the current School Teachers Pay and Conditions Document.
• Have responsibility for a class group (unless otherwise directed by the Headteacher).
• Plan and deliver the curriculum with breadth, depth, relevance and cross-curricular opportunities for all learners.
• Lead teams and deploy teaching assistants to support pupil learning, therapy and care needs.
• Organise and maintain the classroom, resources and displays to provide an inspiring learning environment.
• Assess and record pupil progress and document progress using school systems.
• Write reports for Annual Review for all pupils taught.
• Maintain pupil information and liaise with multi-professional team including therapies.
• Write reports for other agencies on request and maintain communications with families.
• Attend Reviews and Case Conferences as required and participate in professional development.
• Keep up-to-date with developments in educational thinking and contribute to school policies.
