Springwell Special Academy in Barnsley is seeking a dedicated Classroom Teacher to deliver a nurturing SEMH-focused curriculum for pupils with SEMH needs. You will plan and deliver inclusive lessons to small groups within a supportive multi-disciplinary team.

You will contribute to high-quality teaching, assessment, and personal development, working with SLT, SEN specialists and parents to remove barriers to learning and promote resilience and progress.

Formación

• QTS/QTLS essential; advanced SEN qualification desirable.
• Proven experience teaching SEN/SEMH pupils and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of SEND legislation and inclusive pedagogy.

Responsabilidades

• Lesson planning and delivery for core and thematic learning for groups of ~10 pupils.
• 1:1 and small group targeted support to promote progress.
• Collaborate with SLT, speech and occupational therapists, psychologists and social workers.
• Record progress, analyze data, and communicate with parents and carers.
• Apply restorative practices to support self-regulation and behaviour management.
• Mentor staff and contribute to SEN and inclusive pedagogy CPD.
