Academics Ltd. is seeking an enthusiastic Maths teacher for a permanent role in Croydon. The post involves delivering KS3/KS4 lessons, using diverse teaching methods, and contributing to a thriving maths department within a well-resourced school.

You will plan, assess, and feedback to support pupil progress while maintaining a safe, inclusive environment and a culture of high expectations. Salary on the Main Pay Scale (M1-M6) with progression based on experience.

Formación

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching Maths at secondary level.
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring students to develop their mathematical skills.
• Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate pupils.
• Committed to maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment.
• Proactive approach to professional development and teamwork.
• Good understanding of assessment strategies and use of data to support pupil progress.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and deliver engaging, challenging lessons in line with the national curriculum for Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Use a variety of teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of learners and to support progress and attainment.
• Monitor and assess pupil progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and interventions where necessary.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues within the Maths department and across the school to enhance teaching practice and curriculum delivery.
• Promote positive behaviour and a culture of high expectations.
• Support the wider school ethos of pupil wellbeing, safeguarding, and inclusion.
