Job summary

E-ACT Shenley Academy is seeking an experienced Teacher of Science to deliver high quality lessons, plan and assess progression, and foster an inclusive, ambitious learning environment for all students during maternity cover.

You will plan engaging science experiences aligned to the curriculum, use data to inform teaching, and collaborate with colleagues to maintain strong student progress and behaviour management.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher status or recognised equivalent.
• Degree in subject specialism.
• Ability to teach good or outstanding lessons and manage classes effectively.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality Science lessons that engage, challenge and inspire students.
• Plan, prepare and assess learning in line with curriculum requirements, ensuring progress for all students.
• Create an inclusive classroom environment with high expectations and respectful behaviour.
• Use assessment data to inform teaching, monitor outcomes and provide timely feedback.
• Collaborate with professionals and support staff to enhance student learning.
