Job summary

King’s Academy Ringmer is seeking a committed Teacher of Science to join our secondary school on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave starting 4 January 2027. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons, monitor progress through assessment, and support students to achieve high standards within a supportive learning community.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Science and ability to develop students' scientific understanding.
• Experience planning and delivering lessons that challenge learners of all abilities.
• Commitment to assessment for learning and using feedback to drive progress.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to school life.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging and high-quality Science lessons for a secondary cohort.
• Assess and provide timely feedback to monitor progress and inform teaching.
• Support enrichment opportunities and participate in wider school life and events.
• Collaborate with colleagues to continually improve teaching and learning within the department.
